Simple Mobile Access Point Names

​You may already know that Simple Mobile runs on the infrastructure of T-Mobile’s network. This means it rents the unconsumed airtime or data space from T-Mobile. Whether you have a prepaid Android or iPhone, these settings should look the same. Remember, everything should match the settings below, or else your internet and messages may not work. Now let’s save some headaches, so you don’t have to deal with any Simple Mobile tech support. Your Simple Mobile network settings should match the following:

Simple Mobile APN Settings

Name: T-Mobile Data (because Simple Mobile operates on T-Mobile’s network)

  1. APN: simple
  2. MMSC: This should have the following URL, http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
  3. MMS proxy: leave blank
  4. MMS port: leave blank
  5. MCC: 310
  6. MNC: 260

​All other fields that were not shown above do not require a response. The authentication type is also not required, so just use the default shown.

Step by Step Configuration for Android and iPhone/iPad

It is time for the simple step-by-step configuration for either your Android or iPhone. The steps will vary depending on if you have an iPhone or Android, so make sure you’re following the right steps. Get your device ready in hand, so you can find your Simple Mobile data settings and successfully set them up.

Android phones:

Open your phone up to its homepage and follow the following steps:

  1. Settings>more>mobile>networks>access point names>menu
  2. Then fill in the following fields with the information we provided above. If they are not entered correctly your internet will not work.
  3. Save your new APN settings and then restart your Android phone.
  4. Once your phone is back on, test out your internet and text messaging.

iPhone/iPads:

Open your phone up to its homepage and follow the following steps:

  1. Settings>cellular>cellular data network>APN
  2. Then fill in the following fields with the information we provided above. If they are not entered correctly your internet will not work.
  3. Save your new APN settings and then restart your iPhone.
  4. Once your phone is back on, test out your internet and text messaging.

Note: Some smartphones may not let you see the APN settings page in the phone’s settings app. However, this only happens to most phones that use the Verizon or Sprint networks. If your phone doesn’t let you edit or delete your APN Settings, it may have nothing to do with the network. Make sure your phone is indeed unlocked or compatible with Simple Mobile MMS settings.

Now that you have successfully set up your internet and messaging, you should be able to use your phone freely without coming across any complications. If your phone does not let you view the APN settings, or it simply is not working, your phone may not be compatible.
