Setup the access point name for iPhone att

The below described AT&T APN settings work for the iPhone 5, 6, 7 and X. Follow our 7 step guide to change the Access Point Names:

  1. Go to settings
  2. Select General
  3. Select Network
  4. Select Cellular Data Network
  5. Add the following rules:
    • Cellular data:  ATT
    • APN:wap.cingular or phone
    • Username: Leave Blank
    • Password: Leave Blank
  6. Save these new settings
  7. Done

AT&T MMS Settings for an iPhone

Now you’ve changed the access point names it’s time to dive into changing the MMS settings. To fully use the ATT data services we advise you to program these configurations as well. Please be aware that you should already have an unlocked iPhone from another carrier.

  1. Go to settings
  2. Select General
  3. Select Network
  4. Select Cellular Data Network
  5. Select MMS Settings
  6. Add the following rules:
    • Cellular data: ATT
    • MMS APN: wap.cingular or phone
    • Username: Leave Blank
    • Password: Leave Blank
    • MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
    • MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com:80
    • MMS Max Message Size: 1048576
    • MMA UA Proof URL: Leave Blank
  8. Save these settings

It’s advised to reboot your iPhone after changing these settings.
