If you are just a little bit handy or mechanically inclined, you can actually create a homemade cell phone signal booster. A DIY cell phone signal booster can be made of easily obtained component parts, from items purchased at the hardware store, or from household items. People who live in rural areas may not want to travel for hours to the nearest electronics store to pick up a cell phone signal booster that might not work. Or perhaps you are just a handy kind of person who is perfectly capable of following a few simple instructions and you’d rather make your own DIY 4G cell phone signal booster. Whatever your inspiration, you don’t have to be a MacGyver to put together a homemade cellphone signal booster.
People who live in rural areas with spotty cell phone services, or anyone who has intermittent t cell service can boost their signals enough to consistently get four bars, have fewer dropped calls, and receive better internet signal s overall. Depending on your proficiency t with tools and ability to follow instructions, you can make your own homemade cell phone booster and save a ton of money. With systems generally starting at $300 (for consistent 4G service) a little tinkering and the ability to follow a diagram may well be worth the effort. An easy solution is buying a cell phone signal booster for rural areas. I’ve reviewed a lot of items.
One DYI website takes you through the steps to build a Coffee Can booster, a Paper-Clip Bbooster and a DIY booster that is made with Magnet Wire. Each of the three homemade cell phone signal booster projects comes with easy to follow instructions and one even has a instructional video (for the coffee can signal booster). As with commercial cell phone signal boosters, you will need to know the frequency your phone uses, which you can obtain from your cell phone company.
The Family Handyman website offers another DIY cell phone booster project that probably requires less mechanical skills, but is also more costly. The site gives instructions about the equipment to purchase and how to put your DIY cell phone booster together. This article is short and sweet, with a diagram and instructions that assume that you have a least a little understanding about how cell phone signal boosters work. This DIY prototype relies on readily available component parts, is less science fiction-ish, and will probably give more satisfactory results.
Warning, warning, warning: If you mess about with your cell phone, you will probably void your warranty. And you will certainly void your warranty if you shove things (like wires and paperclips) into your device.
None of these DIY cell phone signal boosters will work if you not have an outside signal. It does not have to be strong, but it has to be out there somewhere. But if you have any mechanical skills at all, and you want to try a DIY project that can change your cell phone signal from no G’s to 4G, then go ahead. Give it a try. The results could be fantastic.
If you have reached the point of terminal frustration with your cell-phone and internet, you are looking for better reception and you are finally considering a cell phone amplifier, then it’s time to look at zBoost vs we Boost cell phone boosters. While WilsonAmplifiers owns both lines of cell phone signal boosters, zBoost and weBoost offer different cell phone amplifier products. Whether you are looking better reception for your home, your SOHO (small office/home office) your vehicle, or you just better cell phone reception in general, this review should help you find the best we Boost signal booster or the best zBoost cell phone booster.
When you are exploring the zBoost vs wBoost products, you first need to identify your cell phone amplifier needs. Are you looking for better reception to your home or business, or are you trying to get better reception for your RV, boat or motorhome?
Wilson Electronics is the parent company of WilsonAmplifiers, which handles the WilsonPro, we Boost and zBoost brands of cell phone amplifiers. The we Boost family of signal boosters includes the weBoost 4G signal booster (for coverage up to 1500 sq. ft.), the weBoost connect 4 G phone booster kit (up to 5000 sq. ft. coverage) and the Wilson weBoost Connect4-G X cell phone booster kit (up to 7500 sq. ft. coverage). All of the weBoost products work with all carriers in North America (USA and Canada). These cell phone amplifiers boost your 3G or 4G signal up to 32 times (so not more dropped calls, low bars or weak internet signal). You will get better reception as soon as you hook up your device. weBoost products work on all cellular phones, tablets and electronic devices. All kits come with everything you need and installation is very easy. Also, customer support for all Wilson products in US based – which really comes in handy when you need to know what you are supposed to attach the black wire with the fork kind of things on the end to. One major drawback with the weBoost products is that you must know your band frequency in order to properly install the device. weBoost products tend to be higher priced than many other comparable products.
zBoost products are also made for homes and offices (SOHO) and vehicles. They work with most cellphones, tablets and electronic devices. zBoost has a product line for urban and suburban SOHO’s, cell phone REACH signal boosters for suburban and rural homes, and the zBoost Trio series which work best for larger homes. zBoost was the first company to offer a dual band product (meaning that you do not have to know which frequency your carrier uses to install your cell phone booster device). Most zBoost products are dual or tri-band, and, as they are part of the Wilson Electronics family of cell phone booster products, customer service and support are U.S. based. In addition, zBoost products are adaptable and can be configured to cover a small cabin of 500 sq. ft. all the way up to a multi-story, 10,000 sq. ft. building. While zBoost products and weBoost products are comparable, and both offer better reception for homes and SOHO’s, zBoost products are often more affordable.
The zBoost YX560L Cellular Signal Booster is ideal for rural homes and cabins, rural small offices, or home offices (SOHO’s). It can support multiple data and voice users at the same time, so you can be working in your home office while your kids are paying video games. It works with all mobile phones and most cell phone carriers. The average system gain is 68dB. The zBoost YX560L will extend the battery life in your cellular or electronic device because your cellular phone uses less power when a signal is stronger. The easy to install kit includes the zBoost base unit, a power supply, a base antenna, a signal antenna and 50 feet of coaxial cable. And, of course, the necessary hardware to install your new signal amplifying device. It will cover up to 5000 sq. ft. Customer support is U.S. based, and has a two year warranty.
The weBoost cell phone signal booster will amplify the 3G or 4G signal in your home or SOHO (small office or home office). It has a range of 1500 sq. ft., and will only be useful for one or two rooms. The product comes with everything that is needed for installation (desktop antenna, panel antenna). Installation time is estimated to be 10 minutes. The signal can be boosted up to 32 times stronger, and the system works on all your electronic devices. And you can use all your devices at the same time and get the same improved performance. This would be a good cell phone booster for a small office, or an apartment, but it will not help if you are looking for improved cell phone amplification. The system can give a 60 dB signal gain.
If you are looking for a cell phone amplifier, you will want to evaluate your needs. If you are in a rural area, or an underserved area, and you need better whole-house or SOHO service, then you should consider the zBoost YX560L (aka ZBYK560L). It will give you better reception, and will boost your 3G and 4G signal. If you only need to amplify the signal to a small area (your SOHO or your dorm room) then you should look into the WeBoost Home 4G470101. Both units cost about the same, so it is really down to your needs, and whether you want to install an outside antenna.
If you live in a rural area, as I do, then you are probably dealing with the problem of how to get cell phone service to your home when there is none. There may be some sort of service in your rural area, but if your cellular line- of- sight is blocked by a tree or a mountain, or the neatest tower is just too far away, the only way to get good service is by boosting the cell signal strength in your home. In most cases, boosting the signal inyour home will be the only remedy for getting the best cell phone reception in a rural or underserved area. Please let me share my voyage of discovery with you, so that you too can find the best cell phone booster for your particular rural area. With the right cell phone booster, there’s no reason for your cabin or cottage in woods should be without the best cell phone reception.
I say “cabin in the woods” because that’s where we live: in the woods. At the end of the road past the end of the road. Our problem is that we have trees (lots of them) and hills (lots of those as well). But people who live on the wide open plains have the same problem: we are just not cost-effective enough for cellular companies to invest any money in us. The “grid” does not include us, and, even though there are legislative mandates about supplying cell phone service in remote areas, it just not going to happen. So your only real answer is a phone signal booster. This is a device that boosts the cellular signal once it reaches your home. The signal is out there, even though it is weak, so all you have to do is grab it and amplify it. A cell phone booster is really the only way to go. It works for us, and it will work for you.
We have a rather large house, not a cabin, so we needed a signal booster that would reach all three floors. After a lot of research, we went with a WilsonAmplifiers WeBoost Connect 4G (470103)because It had internal and external antennas. As it turned out, we did not need an off the grid phone antenna, so now we use a WilsonAmplifiers WeBoost Connect 4G-X (471104). It works best for our large house. But, if you only have a one-floor cabin or cottage, you may not need the same model. Or you may only need a repeater, because you may live on the top of a mountain where a cell-tower is close-ish. Here is a quick chart of good cell phone boosters, with a kind of cheat sheet so you can decide for yourself which would work best for you. I have also included some industrial cell phone boosters for those who have businesses in underserved areas.
weBoost Connect 4G
Most cell phone boosters are basically a 3-part system that pulls in weak outside signal into your home or business, amplifies the signal and then rebroadcasts that signal thorough your cabin or cottage – or business. It also sends a stronger signal back to the cell tower, so people will be able to hear YOU for a change. It’s a one-time purchase for the consumer that will result in in better service, fewer dropped callsand better internet. These boosters work for all carriers in North America (USA and Canada), and there are no monthly fees involved. Best of all, a cell phone booster can be used without broadband or a Wi-Fi connection.

This model works the best if you have a nice cabin or cottage in a rural area. It can generally cover 3000 to 4000 sq. ft. in a city or open area, and will cover less (2000- 3000 sq. ft.) in a rural or remote area. Iit’s perfect for a cottage or a cabin. It is the bestselling model for WilsonAmplifiers and it boosts the signal power 65 db. It comes with everything you need to set it up, which includes a multi-band Amplifier/Repeater, and inside wall antenna, an outside directional antenna (so you can aim it between trees) , a power supply, 30’ of low-loss coax cable, and, of course, an installation manual. Which you may not need if your spouse understands how it all works. It is also backed by a two-year warranty and there is 24 hour U.S. based customer support. (Please note: customer service cannot fix the fact that your power goes out in windstorms because you live in the woods!).
The equipment really is easy to install, and you will notice the difference instantly. You will no longer have to stand on one particular spot on your back porch just to make a phone call.
This is the most powerful home cell phone signal booster in America and the one we use now. It can cover homes and buildings up to 7500 sq. ft. We chose this system because, even though our “cabin” has a small foot print, it is a three – story house, and this system gave us the extra coverage that we needed. A 7000 sq. foot house (not in a heavily-wooded area) can expect to get 5 bars consistently. We almost always get 4 bars on our phones and the internet is great. This is the unit you want if you have something more than your average cabin-in-the –woods, or a farm house out in the middle of nowhere. It can also be used in condos, apartments and offices.
The WeBoost Connect 4G-X (471104) comes with everything you need for installation, which includes the Connect 4G-XAmplifier/Repeater, an inside wall antenna, an outside directional antenna, 75’ of low –loss coax, and the installation manual. But, once again, installation was really straight forward. This system really works well with areas that get very weak poor cell phone coverage. If you live in a rural area with extremely poor coverage (or lots of trees and mountains) the WeBoost Connect 4G-X is the best choice for better 3G & 4G LTE coverage. The average user can expect a +70 dB gain of power.
This is a cell phone signal booster that you might want look at if you have a large farm, a rural business enterprise, or a ski resort on the top of a mountain. It’s really for people with commercial buildings up to 25,000 sq. ft. But it could be used for a rural school, for example, or a hospital or warehouse in a mountainous, rural or underserved area. It is the most popular commercial booster on the market. This system is also used in a lot of commercial and high-density residential building in urban areas because it boost the signal in buildings where the signal may be diminished by building materials that actually block the signal.
The WisonPro 70 Plus is recommend for: large multi-story buildings, industrial warehouses, schools, hospitals, hotels, and other large office spaces. And, of course, it could be used in any sort of large rural business, like a farm, dairy or mill. This system also has a geographical uplink & downlink meter and “self-optimizing design” to allow for easy installation. It works on any carrier in North America, and it works with any wireless cellular device. It is easy to install (though I think I would get help). The kit includes the Pro 70 Plus Amplifier/Repeater, and outside directional antenna, a lightning surge protector (for those of you on the top of mountains), an inside panel antenna, cable in 2’, 60’ and 75’ lengths, a power supply and the installation manual . Once installed, the consumer can expect up to +70 dB gain of power, which will make all the tenants in the condos at your ski-resort very happy.
The SureCall system would be very useful for anyone who has any kind of business in a rural or remote area, or for people who might have a home-based business which relies on cell phone dependability. 1st signal booster that can be controlled by a mobile app, which could be a major asset to anyone who runs a rural or remote business. It can be configured for all indoor environments, which would come in handy on a large farm, for instance. And it is the first cell phone booster that has integrated remote access, so your system can be monitored by an off-site mobile app, or from your home computer! Pretty cool.
The SureCall Force 5 2.0 is for use in buildings with an area of between 25, 000 and 100,000 sq. ft. Each band in the system can be independently configured, and the system can accommodate up to 100 independent users simultaneously. The Built-in Sentry remote monitoring system that allows users to adjust the booster attenuation remotely. The system can be designed to fit in with any floor plan, so whether you have a vineyard, a ski resort, a saw mill, a hospital or a luxury vacation facility on the lake, the SureCall will work for you. The consumer must purchase the initial unit with the proper antenna, and the equipment that is include depends on the antenna and system that is purchased. So the system you buy will be dependent on the floor plan and the needs of the buyer. The system comes with a 3-year warranty that can be extended to 5 years.
In the end, you will want to find out your needs and the barriers that you have to overcome in your rural or remote area, then chose the booster that will work best for you. You may need to go for an off the grid antenna because you are just too far away from the civilized world. Or a repeater might work best for you. But the bottom line is that an in-house cell phone booster is really the only thing that is going to improve your rural cell phone service- unless you can convince your local company to set up a tower on the edge of your property. Which ain’t gonna happen any time soon.
So if directions to your house are, “Go to the end of the paved road, then go to the end of the dirt road, turn right at the water tower” (which just happen to be the directions to our house) then you really need a signal booster.
For a lot of people who live in “rural” or remote areas in North America, finding ways to get the best cell phone reception can be a real issue. If you live in one of these underserved areas, as we do, you may be wondering how to boost your cell phone signal strength to improve your cell phone reception in an underserved or remote area. Perhaps you have heard of cell phone boosters, and you may be wondering if cell phone boosters work in your rural area – what kind of reception you will get – will it boost your signal…? Basically, you want to know what you can do, and which is the best cell phone booster to use your particular beautiful but rural slice of heaven. Please – let me share our cell-phone booster journey with you.
We live on an Island in Washington State. We are near large cities, but since most cell phone service in the U.S. is PCS (line of sight), we just don’t get good coverage. Plus, since we are island, we don’t have enough resident here for any cellular company to warrant investing in cell-towers and infrastructure. This is true with folks who live in rural America as well. You are too far away, too spread out, and you are just not “cost effective”. Our situation would have been fine, and I could always manage to use the phone of internet if I stood in particular spot on my porch. Of course, if I moved, the call or the connection was dropped. And on windy days with the trees all blowing in different directions, reception was impossible. But my husband is a Data Base Manager with clients all over the U.S. depending on him, and he needed better and more reliable service. So we began investigating cell phone boosters.
We started with a very good article that explains why we would never get good reception and that cell phone boosters are the best option for improving cell phone reception in remote areas. We asked our neighbors what they were doing to improve their cell phone access, and the answer was: basically nothing. So we did our research and found that cell phone boosters really work in and that they were the best bet for improving cell phone reception in remote areas.
In simple terms, a cell phone signal booster is a 3-part system that pulls in a weak outside signal, amplifies that signal and rebroadcasts that signal throughout your house. We’ve extensively researched the best cell phone signal boosters available. In the end we settle on a couple of Wilson amplifiers because they worked best for a house in the woods, at the end of the road, next to the State Park, on an Island in Washington State. The Wilson system that we use can amplify existing 3G and 4G LTE signals. Best of all, it works both ways, so you can hear people they can hear you, and your texts and internet will actually work. The system was easy to install (I made my husband to it) and it covers our entire house. No more standing out in the wind and rain to call my family. You can take a look here for the best 4g LTE signal booster.
I can’t even begin to tell you how much this has improved our lives. Not only can my husband now do his work without the specter of dropped calls, but I can use the phone and the internet just like the rest of the world. We don’t have to worry about the signal being blocked by 50 foot trees and our hilly terrain, and, unless the electricity goes out (which happens a lot when you live on a very densely forested Island) our cell phone and internet is never interrupted. And the good news is that cell phone booster systems work in places where there aren’t any trees, so people on farms, surrounded by miles of empty plains can have cell phone and internet service as well.
I hope this helps give folks a little hope that their phone and internet reception can be improved. If you live in a rural or remote area, the big cellular companies are not going to come and help. But for a small, one time investment, your life and your cell phone reception can be greatly improved.

This booster has a DC power supply that you can plug into your car’s lighter outlet and it has a low-profile interior antenna that covers the entire vehicle. The exterior antenna has a high-powered magnet that is wind resistant and that will pick up most weak input signals for amplification.
The cell phone signal amplifies these signals by up to 32 times and includes voice and text signals to ensure that all occupants are completely connected. If you are looking for a high-end cell phone signal booster for all your vehicles, you can’t go wrong with this one.
All of this makes it a great vehicle signal booster kit.
A more affordable version of the weboost Drive 4G-X, but with less appeal in terms of durability and ease of use. The Fusion2Go 2.0 boosts voice, text, 3G, and 4G LTE signals by up to 32 times and broadcast it wirelessly to the interior of your vehicle. This booster can be used on all types of vehicles and offers a comprehensive connectivity solution to all passengers, especially in terms of range and usability. It supports any device and carrier, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Straight Talk.
Even though the Fusion2Go 2.0 is not on par with other units on this list, it’s by no means substandard, and you can be sure that all your connectivity needs will be met by this signal booster from booster from SureCall. This means that you will never have to experience the frustration of dropped or missed calls and your data speed will be as fast and reliable.

This is a high-quality cell signal booster for your car that you can use to boost your connectivity wherever you are. This vehicle cell phone booster differs somewhat from, say, the Wilson cell phone booster for a car since it doesn’t broadcast the amplified signal wirelessly. Instead, you have to connect your phone to a cradle to make use of the boosted signal. This means that multiple users can’t benefit from the signal boost.
This can be a drawback if you drive with passengers, but if you regularly drive alone through areas with low signal, this can be the most affordable option. This is a high-quality unit, and you’ll be sure to derive many years of value and connectivity from it. It works with all carriers and networks and installation is easy and quick. This goes for the cell phone antenna for the car’s roof as well since it has a magnet that can easily be fitted.
If you are using a Verizon carrier, this is the cell phone signal booster for your vehicle. It is compatible with all devices. It amplifies a 4G LTE signal and broadcasts the boosted signal via an interior antenna. To allow for effective use, ensure that your phone is switched to a frequency of 700mHz.
There are a few drawbacks when it comes to this particular unit. Firstly, if the occupants of the vehicle are not subscribed to Verizon or if they are switched to a 2G or 3G network, they will not be able to benefit from the enhanced connectivity that this booster has to offer.
Just like the weboost Drive Sleek, the Drive 3G from Dulcii also features a cradle that provides a connectivity boost to a connected device only. It does, however, come with many appealing features that make it worth considering. Firstly, this is one of the most affordable models available today. It is easy to install and has a good overall quality.
Unfortunately, this cell signal booster is developed to boost only 3G network signals. If you want to use 4G LTE, this may not be the best cell phone booster for your car. If you just want something cheap to help you out during emergencies, the Drive 3G will work just fine.
There are many mobile amplifiers available that you can use to boost a lacking signal up to establish a usable connection. You and your passengers’ needs should be central to your purchasing decision and you have to make sure that the booster will be able to fulfill all of them.
If you like going on trips in an RV or motor home, we recommend the weboost Connect RV 65. It is a trustworthy and durable automotive accessory that will enhance your experience and make sure that you are always connected. If you are looking for a cell phone signal booster that you can use in your city car, it is important that you spend some time to think about your daily needs.
The signal booster you buy will depend on if you regularly have passengers, how often to encounter low-connection zones, and what you are prepared to pay. If staying connected is important to you, a signal booster will always be worth its weight in gold.
4G is the successor of 3G and is much more developed as a network. There are two types of 4G networks: Long Term Evolution (LTE) and High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA). Nowadays, almost all new smartphones support LTE, so chances are that it may be the only network
Despite the fact that many cellular service providers claim that they have a wide 4G coverage, you may sometimes find that your 4G signal is low and that you are in need of a signal boost. When choosing a 4G signal booster that is right for you, there are some things that you need to consider. You have to know where you will be using the signal booster. A 4G signal booster that you use in your office will have a different design from one that you use in your car, for example.
The cause of the low signal and number of users in an area also determines the type of signal booster that you should buy. Today we will be taking an in-depth look at the best 4G signal amplifiers that you can buy in 2018.

This 4G signal booster is filled to the brim with value and exciting features, making the best booster on our list. To start off, this 4G signal booster is compatible with all carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Straight Talk. It can amplify a 4G signal to make it 32 times stronger, and then makes the amplified 4G signal available over a large indoor area of 7,500 square feet.
Since this amplified signal can be accessed wirelessly by any device with any carrier, it means that all the occupants of a building can benefit from the boosted signal. Another awesome feature of this 4G signal booster is its patented automatic gain settings. This means that the exterior antenna picks up signal lowering conditions in the vicinity. It then makes changes to its gain to pick up the best signal possible.
Because this signal booster covers such a large indoor area, it is ideal for office buildings. This doesn’t mean, however, that you can’t use it in your home. This booster has an extended battery life that gives you 2 hours of additional talk time in low-signal zones.
Another top of the line 4G LTE cell phone signal booster for your home or office. Just like our top pick, this cell phone booster also amplifies a poor 4G signal by up to 32 times. The Connect 4G 470103’s boosted signal coverage area is 5,000 feet which is less than the top pick’s coverage area, but still large enough for an entire household or medium-sized office.
This particular 4G signal booster will work with most mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, notebooks, and data cards. It is also compatible with all carriers in the United States and Canada. This means that everybody inside the booster’s range will be able to receive the amplified signal, regardless of which service provider they use.
Setup and use are incredibly easy. With your booster, you’ll receive clear step-by-step instructions to ensure that installation is quick and effortless. Connecting a device is just as simple and be done within moments.
The signal’s amplification depends largely on the exterior signal that the antenna on the outside picks up. It is, therefore, important that this input signal is as strong as possible. Weboost has a patented automatic gain setting to optimize this signal, regardless of the signal-lowering conditions.
When it comes to connectivity accessories for your vehicle, nothing beats the Drive 4G-X 470510, also from weBoost. The design for this 4G signal booster is very similar to those of stationary 4G boosters, the difference being that the system components are simplified and geared towards giving you the best possible signal inside any vehicle, including sedans, RV’s and trucks.
This 4G signal booster can broadcast a wireless signal inside your car that is up to 32 times stronger than the exterior signal. This stronger signal can be picked up by the exterior antenna, amplified and by used by any mobile device and any carrier, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Straight Talk. This means that the amplified signal is available to all passengers that may want to make phone calls or use their mobile data optimally.
Setup and installation take almost no time. It supports and multiplies voice and text signals as well as 4G LTE and 3G frequencies by up to 32 times. It also has a wireless signal boosting a range of up to 1,500 square feet. This means that you can amplify the signal for all devices within a large indoor area, making this ideal for an office environment.

These carriers include but are not limited to Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Straight Talk, and U.S. Cellular. It can boost signals from all these carriers at the same time, benefitting everybody in the area.
In terms of signal boosting performance, this product really steps things up. It features automatic gain settings with a maximum signal gain of 60 decibels. Whether your connectivity issues are due to distance or obstacles like buildings or mountains, you can be sure that this cell phone signal booster will provide you with optimal signal amplification and connectivity, which means no more dropped calls or slow streaming.
Coverage Area, Compatibility with U.S. Carriers and Kit Contents
This signal booster has a coverage of up to 1500 square feet. The exact coverage depends on the signal strength at the outdoor antenna location: the stronger this is, the further the signal is broadcasted. If the signal at the source is weak, the Home 4G device will boost the signal and you will have a stronger signal where there would otherwise be no signal or very weak signal.
The Home 4G (470101) signal booster can be used to amplify the signal of all US carriers, including: Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Straight Talk, U.S. Cellular, Xfinity, Sprint and so on.
When you order the Home4G signal booster the package will contain the following parts: AC Power supply, an indoor desk top antenna, a weatherproof external panel antenna, required cables and installation hardware parts.
High-end cell phone signal booster that provides you with wireless voice, text, and 4G signal amplification. The difference between the Fushion4Home and our top pick is that this one will switch your phone to a 4G LTE signal which can be a hassle if you only have 3G coverage.
With your Fushion4Home, you’ll receive the booster, an omni-direction outside antenna that connects to the booster with a 50ft coaxial cable that is also included. You also get an inside omnidirectional antenna that you have to connect directly to the booster. This antenna provides you with 200 square feet of indoor wireless signal boost coverage, roughly the size of two rooms. Multiple users, each with their own device and carrier can benefit from this signal amplification.
This cell phone signal booster’s overall quality and signal boosting performance are excellent and, like our top pick, is geared towards indoor use, for example in a home or office. Clear and simple installation instructions are included to eliminate frustration and save time. Although this unit has a long-lasting battery life, keep in mind that you won’t get the same amount of additional talk time as you would get with the weBoost Home 4G 470101.
Coverage Area, Compatibility with U.S. Carriers and Kit Contents
This signal amplifier has a coverage of up to 2000 square feet. The Fusion for Home booster increases the signal strength for one or two rooms. The SureCall Fusion4Home Omni/Whip signal booster can be used to amplify the signal of all North American carriers, including: Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Straight Talk, U.S. Cellular, Xfinity, Sprint and so on.

A solid cell phone signal booster that is designed with indoor use in mind. This booster is very similar to our runner-up, the SureCall Fusion4Home Omni/Whip. You also get 50 feet RG-6 coaxial cable that you connect to the omnidirectional outside antenna with a high-gain. This means that it has a gain of at least 5dBi – preferable when tower distance is the main cause of your weak signal. If you have a weak signal because of physical barriers like mountains, consider choosing a cell phone signal booster with a low gain of less than 5dBi.
This product boosts an entire range of signals, including voice, text, 3G, AT&T, and 4G LTE. The indoor antenna provides you with a whopping indoor amplification range of 5,500 square feet. This means that, similar to the boosters listed above, it will work for multiple users, regardless of device or carrier.
You may be forgiven for thinking that this booster should be at the top, due to the fact that it covers a larger area and a wider range of signals. It is important to remember, however, that you can only use this booster effectively in rural areas. In valleys, cities, or mountainous areas, the high-gain exterior antenna may not be able to boost a signal effectively.
Coverage Area, Compatibility with U.S. Carriers and Kit Contents

It also provides additional battery life which can be incredibly helpful when there is a power outage.
The Home 4K is not limited to commercial or industrial applications. It is more affordable, has better quality, and the antennas also feature adjustable gain.

So far, we have been looking at wireless cell phone signal boosters for home and office use. The weBoost Drive Sleek 470135, however, specializes in boosting your cell phone signal as you are driving.
This particular model differs from the other boosters in this list in some ways. Firstly, it boosts your cell phone signal by means of a cradle, rather than a wireless connection. This means that it only boosts one device at a time. At first, this may seem like a drawback, but keep in mind that this connection is rock-solid and that this type of cell phone booster is typically much more affordable.
The Drive Sleek 470135 can boost voice, text, G3, and G4 LTE signals up to 32 times the outside signal. Similar to stationary boosters, it also has an outside antenna that sticks to your roof with a powerful magnet that is guaranteed not to damage or scratch your car at all. Straight Talk’s mobile service is among the most advanced services on the market. Your everyday brand name mobile companies such as Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon all run and house their own network towers all over the country and world. Straight Talk doesn’t have its own network, it is known as a mobile virtual network operator or MVNO. This essentially means it buys the rights to use other carrier’s cell towers for connection, which never actually lessens the data coverage. This may sound odd, and unconventional, however, it provides a service that many people find to be among the best for a price that is incomparable to other carriers.
Because this mobile service is unlike any other on the market, it could be easy to jump to the conclusion that their customer service doesn’t compare to others, this is incorrect. Straight Talk’s customer care is incredibly attentive and caring. For assistance about anything related to Straight Talk, whether it’s questions, concerns or more information, be sure to call 1-877-430-CELL or 1-877-430-2355.
If you are a Straight Talk existing customer, be sure to have all needed information at your fingertips to provide to the operator. You will likely be asked for your Straight Talk MEID DEC/ Serial Number and of course, your Straight Talk mobile number. Straight Talk customer care is not a 24-hour service, if you’re looking to speak to a representative right away, be sure you are calling between 8 AM- 11:45 PM (EST), 7 days a week, which is a great amount of time for contact!
If you are looking for Straight Talk’s technical support or Straight Talk’s help with your APN settings, do not worry, all of these concerns can be answered at the phone number listed above. When your call is answered, you will be directed to a machine, this is so they can direct you to the right person to speak to as soon as possible. If you are looking to speak to a representative right away, simply dial the number above, then click the number 4, then 4 again after the second menu, this should get you to speak to a real person easily.

Straight Talk is an easy to use month-to-month wireless phone service that can be purchased at your local Walmart and other retailers who work with TracFone. This phone service has grown wildly in popularity in recent years because of Straight Talk’s bring your own phone program (BYOP). Straight Talk’s phone service is the perfect service for those customers who are looking for a service that offers a contract-free data and voice service and is prepaid. This allows consumers the freedom to choose exactly how much they’d like to spend on data consumption.
Straight Talk offers cell phones that come locked. Your phone will be locked through them, as the carrier, they will unlock it for you if you should request it after the first 12 months of month-to-month use. If you should decide after the 12-month use of Straight Talk as your data and messaging service, you are free to roam to any other carrier you true.
There are essentially two different forms of carriers, one who is (GSM) or global system or (CDMA) or code division multiple access. There are carriers who are in one form and don’t typically cross over into the other because they will/not accept phones that have been unlocked. If you’re wondering how to unlock your Verizon phone for Straight Talk, this is typically done with ease, find a step by step guide for Verizon LTE APN Settings here. If you had a previously unlocked phone, there is a high chance a carrier like Verizon or Sprint may turn you away from using that phone for their data, voice, or message services.
If you acquire a phone from Straight talk and decide after a year you’d like to switch to a contracted service provider, it may be best to switch to other carriers aside from Verizon, such as T-Mobile or AT&T.
There are easy routes to unlock Verizon phones to be used with any other carriers. The only prerequisite for this action is to ensure your phone is completely paid off and the device must not be reported lost or stolen. If you give Verizon or Sprint a call, they will likely give you a step by step guide to unlock your phone if you wish to go overseas or would like to switch to another carrier. Verizon will always unlock your phone at your request if you are active military. If you have an unlocked phone please update to the Straight Talk APN Settings. We’ve published a comprehensive guide how to do this. If you face issues with sending or receiving MMS messages please read our article for possible solutions.
If you’ve purchased an Android phone from Straight Talk, as of March 2017, Straight Talk has updated it’s unlocking conditions, but can still be done if you wish to move to another carrier. It’s as simple as calling Straight Talk’s customer service during normal business hours and obtaining an unlock code. Once you replace the Straight Talk SIM with your new carrier’s SIM, you should power off and on your phone. Next, enter your unlock code and you should be set!
