TWC Mail

TWC EMAIL

Time Warner Cable (TWC) is part of the prolific Time Warner, Inc. conglomerate. This entertainment giant began in the 1990s as a merger between Time Inc. and Warner Communications. Since then, they have had many ventures in different industries, some more successful than the others, and some bought out by interested companies.

Their cable operations arm was in Time Warner Cable. This company was bought out by Charter Communications in 2016, alongside Bright House Networks. These cable and telecommunications arm would form what we now know as Spectrum. This is Charter’s rebranding of the services TWC and Bright House offered, turning it into a full service in the internet, phone, and television industries. It even spun off into Spectrum Business which focuses on solutions for small to large companies.

Even if TWC itself has ceased to exist, the free email account that it had given to customers prior to the sale remain active to this day. There are still a number of people who actively use their email addresses from when they had TWC cable in their home or office.

TIME WARNER EMAIL LIMITATIONS

Your Time Warner Cable email might not be your main email provider, simply because it’s not their main product and have set some limitations to the abilities of your email account. They do this to make sure that their email service at least performs well for all their customers. One of these is the size allocation for each message sent and received, as well as the size of your allowable inbox.

Email size is restricted to 25 MB each, including any attachments of any file size. This goes for the messages that you receive and the ones that you send. Attachments on their own are allowed to be 20 MB. Every 24 hours, each IP address can send messages to only 1,000 recipients. The To: and CC: fields can hold up to 99 recipients each.

Email accounts are restricted to a default 5 GB of storage. However each administrator or master email account can make adjustments on email storage allocation for each mailbox, so it’s distributed according to the needs of the email accounts.

WHO OWNS TIME WARNER CABLE?

The illustrious Time Warner Company was the owner of the Time Warner Cable brand, and an arm that originated from Warner Communications in 2009. Prior to the 2016 merger, it was the second largest cable company in the United States, and operated in 29 states.

However, just recently in 2016, they have been acquired by Charter Communications and have been integrated with Bright House Networks to set up the Spectrum brand. Their internet provider service, “Road Runner” became Spectrum internet.
